Visa Run from Samui

Featured Replies

I'm wondering what the fastest , easiest and most reasonably priced visa run is, leaving from Samui? Open to all possibilities including air travel, depending on price. Anyone with timely info is appreciate - thanks / khup khun khup!

What do you want to get from your "visa run"?

Is it border run to get a new entry from a visa or to obtain a visa exempt entry?

Or Is it are real visa run to obtain a visa?

sorry, i should have been more specific. It is to get a new entry for my current 3-entry tourist visa. But I wouldn't mind info on a run to obtain a new visa when my current 3-entry expires, too. thanks!

Google "Samui Visa Run to Ranong" and discover the detail. smile.png

For a new visa a trip to Penang would result in a single entry tourist visa whilst travelling to the Thai Consulate in Laos offers the possiblity of applying for a double entry tourist visa.

Take Phantip bus at 8:00 from Nathon to Hat Yai (used to be 400 Baht/return).

Check into a hotel around 15:00 and take a private taxi to the border ( PM me if you need a reliable driver).

Back to the hotel in Hat Yai around 17:30. Do some shopping, etc.

Get the same bus back at 8:00 next day from Hat Yai bus station (khon song) and arrive in Donsak for the 14:00 ferry.

Done this for 15 plus years and think its a very relaxed way of doing a border bounce.
