Old Croc
Is it possible to get a used vehicle transferred when the seller is an apparent overstayer (Ed visa)? We have paid for, and taken possession of, the bike, the book, signed transferred papers and copies of the seller's passport, but the Transport Dept says it cannot happen because of the guy's status. While the book and every other paper was legitimate, his status was unclear from the passport pages given. Obviously our first step will be to try and locate the seller to get the full picture about his permit, but what can we do if he is illegal or has disappeared with the cash? WarpSpeed
Nope but if it can't be registered they aren't going to need to be cashed up as you won't be getting top dollar that's the sad fact.
