Is the issue of having a laptop computer in your carry on luggage been resolved? I was planning on buying a new laptop computer during my US visit next month. I CERTAINLY don't want to have to put it in my checked in luggage.

Thanks for the links. It appears that taking a laptop will not be a problem.

I think that the UK now allows electronics in carry-on luggage.
