re-new Retirement Visa

Featured Replies

My Australian passport expires this month along with my retirement visa. Do I need to get a new bank financial letter (800,000 baht) when I re-apply?

Yes, you have to file for a whole new extension of stay, including all required documents.

Thanks, Mario, also when I renew and have to provide financials can I get a form confirming my age pension and amount from the local dole office in Australia or do I have to go to an Australian embassy?//

You have to go to the embassy in Bangkok.

If you actually have Baht 800,000 in a Thai bank for three months before application, you don't need an income statement from your embassy.

If you have less than Baht 800,000 in the bank, the income statement can be used to bring the total to Baht 800,000 for the year and, at least at most offices, if you are combining bank balance and income letter, the money doesn't need to be in the bank for the three months.
