petedk
I have just taken a motorcycle taxi in Bang Kaer and I noticed the ned ID tag on his back. His name and number are written clearly in English and there is also a number to call the "passenger protection service", in case of problems. I welcome this development, but luckily I don't have many problems here in Bang Kaer. In fact they are all very friendly. Yesterday, however, I had one of the worst experiences. I took a motorcycle on Sukhumvit 23 and normally I pay 10 baht. Yesterday, he grabbed my arm and demanded 40 baht and shouted really loud so others gathered around. Luckily, I met 2 Thai colleagues and they actually supported me. I guess the "passenger protection number" is too late after being beaten to pulp.
