I will be living the country, for a wedding, on the 26th of June. My current ED visa (first year) will expire on the 25th of June. Do I need anything from my school, like a letter from the school when leaving? And, how about one day overstay?

You will need nothing from the school when you leave the country unless your are leaving overland at Nong Khai,

A one day overstay is common and immigration does not make a bid deal of it. If leaving from either airport in Bangkok you will not need to pay the 500 fine for an overstay of less than 24 hours.
