March 1, 201511 yr Most likely the temple is not money laundering - it's the crooks who think that giving a portion of their proceeds to the temple will clean up their bad Karma for stealing it in the first place. Considering that it has now been found that the temple and associates received 11.3 billion and 4 billion of assets have already been seized from elsewhere http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/799638-probe-into-klongchan-credit-union-cooperative-indicates-b13-billion-embezzlement/ out of the 16 billion. That does not leave a lot for the main man who is on the run in the UK. The possibility and ease with which all or a portion of the 11.3 billion could have been moved to the UK as temple funds to improve the karma of the donor in the present life should not be overlooked. Also begs the question, would someone steal to donate money to a temple to erase the bad karma of that stealing. Much simpler not to invoke the bad karma by stealing.
