with the new Samsung galaxy s6 coming out soon in Thailand, it s now possible to pay with your phone. no need to use fiat money. just show your phone near the swiping card machine at your 7 11 or to your local bar , press on your phone screen , and voila, payment done.

this is done by a software and hardware installed on the galaxy s10 called loop pay, it simulates a magnetic card.

thai can now pay with their phone. no excuse!

not water resistant, can't change battery, no microSD. And due to the glass back it get hurt when falling. Before the plastic was better.

It is a step back from the S5.

I prefer cash payments.....

amazing phone. I hope one day we stop to pay with fiat money paper. fiat money is part of the past.

mobile payments and digital currencies are the way of the future. mind=blown first time I sent/received bitcoins!

battery is very good.

you can get 64 or 128 gig, use cloud to transfer your pictures.

you can have vr to watch movies.

can recharge in 10 minutes.

use a protection.

no microsd=no buy for me.

changeable battery is important for me, but I might compromise on that if everything else is good.

water resistance on the S5 was some real nice idea.

For me that phone is a big step back, for sure I won't buy it.

you don't need to change your battery anymore. just carry your charger and plug it. in 20 minutes you Samsung will be near fully charged.

in the future we will charge a phone in less 5 minutes. this is why constructors will stop to build phones with removable battery.

as for the SD card, you can use Dropbox. but I agree they should have kept the SD card because with gear VR, people will want to use their Samsung VR to watch movies and it s easier and more convenient to load your micro SD card with lot of YIFY files pirated from kickass torrent. ;)

My thoughts on the lack of SD card.

In Ye Olden Days, memory size mattered to me a lot, I carried around music and photo's. Probably in the past 5 years or so my thinking changed, I stream everything from music, radio, video, so the need to have lots on onboard storage diminished.

I'm pretty sure thats why the S6 like the HTC One have opted to save the space and power.

...and I must say it does look preeeeettttyyyyyy

I agree, with all the clouds available , everyone can store images and important files there, so no need . Unless you live in an area where internet sucks.

you can have drop box for all your picture. you can get 16gb free if you enroll your friends.

and there is Flickr I believe they offer 1 Tera but slower.

just synchronise cloud with your phone, when you charge, everything you store will be sent to cloud.

You can get more than 16gb free on dropbox. My note2 got me 48gb free several years back (expired now) but activating a new account with a different email on the same phone got a fresh upgrade. Are new samsungs like S6 still offering the same?

I used to store loads of music, now mostly spotify which saves loads of space.

I don't want to carry a charger with me an wait 20 min, if I can change the battery in 10 seconds. Charger is bigger and slower.

When the battery gets old I want to put in a new one and use the device another couple of years.

Dropbox? First I don't give private information on some server where I don't know who can access it. Specially if I would have (not have it now) filled with company secrets). Second my SD card has 64 GB. My unlimited data volume get slowed down to 128 kb after 500 MB usage. So Dropbox would either cost me a lot in additional data volume and/or slows my internet to nothing.

Beside all the huge GPS maps, why should I wait 1 hour to download them from my dropbox if I can have them locally?

And not forget if you are outside country and have only an extreme expensive data roaming contract....than you need the Garmin GPS map with has 600 MB.

64 and 128 GB MicroSD are very usual these days why bother with 16GB....

I understand the argument of people who are upset that Samsung has dropped sd card on the S6.

maybe in their future model they will reinstate the micro Sd card.

as for charging, I read they are developing batteries that could last days instead of 1 or 2 days . smart watches are the gadgets that will profit the most of this new technology.

I think with longer lasting batteries the need to swap them fast will increase. Reason: If your battery lasts 1-2 days, you are used to put it on the charger every day.

If it lasts a week you are more likely to forget. But well...than more likely you forgot the backup battery at home as well (my argument is biting itself into the a....)
