Immigration Office Still Collecting 300 Baht For Address Confirmation Letters

Yup, they're still at it! I spoke to several people this morning whilst doing my 90 day reporting. All paid 300 baht. The officers I observed taking money were sitting at desks 01 & 02 (ground floor Phuket town).

Since the chief has already denied this happens (to the Phuket Gazette), one can only asume he's going - or gone - deaf and blind!

PLEASE: if you are asked for money for a free service, ask for a signed receipt with the officers name clearly written on it.
