Today, I came across what appears to be a Thursday memo that's currently circulating from the head of one of of the private schools in BKK advising its recipients to avoid the "City Centre (Siam / Chit Lom) area of Bangkok on Sunday for reasons of personal safety." The apparent memo said they'd received information from a "reliable source," but didn't elaborate any further. Dunno if this memo is the source for what you may have heard, or the school is simply responding to whatever reports are going around out there.
