lewy67
The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) has organized a project to promote the civil sector's participation in corruption prevention in Bangkok. The civil sector, including the military, are the greatest beneficiaries of corruption in Thailand and have been since 1932. They are dedicated along with the NACC, and the NCPO to maintaining the corrupt status quo.
Costas2008
Define civil societies please!! Doesn't matter who the civil societies are, even without knowing you will be able to sleep tonight. The main point on this article is that the government is asking all Thai people to help fight corruption. And this is what this government stands for. Elimination of corruption, reform of the police force and prepare this country for better days to come. Thailand and it's people had enough of the previous corrupt politicians and their practices. You can rest assured that this government is doing a good job. You can start worrying when the old clowns are back into politics.

Have a look at Chief of Police Khun Somyot, appointed by Prayth. He owns shares on the SET worth about 5 times the combined declared assets by him and his family. No digging done there!! The wind might come from a different direction now, but still carrying the same stench!!
Rancid
Corruption purely derives from government, it is pretty simple therefore to figure the more government the more potential corruption. Add in a culture corrupted from top to bottom and how can it be eliminated. Who will investigate, who will prosecute and who will sentence? But why kid ourselves it is unique to Thailand, have a read about what the Clinton Foundation has been up to, investigate the Bush family properly, they'll never be be held accountable, it will never even be considered.

Srikcir
"The project would organize forums for them to brainstorm and exchange information" Unfortunately, such gatherings exerbate conflicts and are illegal under martial law. Depending on the mood of the Junta, such forums may or may not occur, regardless of their intent. Maybe when the constitutionally illegal military government is replaced by a legally elected government can the fight to end corruprion be taken in earnest.
