Why is beer sales at seven and family restricted in Bangkok but NOT Pattaya?

Pattaya more or less does what it wants, including selling booze and quietly keeping bars open on HMTK's birthday, as well as all Buddhist holidays. Of course, corporate businesses like 7-11 are not permitted, or perhaps they self regulate and choose to follow the law, but booze is always available in the extreme city, no matter the day, new regulation, or current law.

Moved to Pub.

The General Forum is not a place for chit chat, banter and daily life observations. Those sort of topics should be placed in the Farang Pub sub forum.

All the stores are allocated money to give the police each month. My wife gives them 1000 cash every month so they check up on the syore evrry day. If u pay them more theyvlet u sell alchohol when ever u want.

Friendship used to sell throughout the day ... have done as long as I can remember, but not on Buddhist holidays ... but the past week or so I've noticed that they close off the booze section during the restricted hours.

I would like to know, how the money allocated to the police, looks in the books in a company like 7-11 or Family market.
