What Visa covers a stay for a year?

Recommended Posts

First of all that you, in advance, for your help.

I have a marriage visa , and living in Chiang Mai, so I am OK visa wise.

My son, who is 22 and a UK citizen, is looking to stay with me for a year or so. He is not planning to study and has no job in Thailand. He has a job in the UK and will be as using his own savings and staying with me .

The question is simple. Is there a visa that covers this possible situation.?

I believe I did read, on the forum, of a 3 month re-enty tourist visa?

Thanks.

He could get a 3 entry tourist visa that would give him almost 9 months of total stay by getting a 30 day extension of each 60 day entry the visa allows.

Then go out to a nearby embassy or consulate for a 1 or 2 entry tourist visa to finish off the year.
