western union in pattaya - advice please

Featured Replies

I have been told to go to Western Union in Pattaya and collect transferred funds. I have the 2 required names and a reference number.

Not having used this service before what's the procedure please and where's the best office to go (I note there are several 'booths' listed)

Thanks

I use the branch on the 2nd floor in Central department store as it's safe in the shopping center and my bank is on the 4th floor so I can safely/wisely deposit the cash into my Thai bank.

When you approach the teller, you must have your passport, the ref. number, and ensure you have all the correct sender info. That must be 100% correct or no money. My mother sent me some cash and inserted my middle name for some odd reason. She had to change it on her end before the funds were released. Another time, a sender used their maiden name without telling me. There's also a secret question option.

You also need to provide your email, phone, and address. I always gave fake info as it didn't affect the outcome.

You can find copies of the money receiving form on Google.
