As for the "tasteless pineapple" comment:

The airline announced it had set up a special committee to revamp its menu after junta chief Gen. Prayuth Chan-ocha complained about having to eat some nasty pineapple on the national carrier.

That thousands of passengers had complained before, was of course ignored> But when Mr P opened his gob...........

"An empty Airbus plane was dispatched to Paris to replace the damaged plane.

Transport Minister Prajin Juntong blamed the incident on the airport contractor responsible for the truck."

That's going to cost somebody.

What they are saying, that hole would be bigger should the truck be carrying caviar.

The PM complains about tasteless pineapple so THAI sets up a special menu committee.

Meanwhile he's having to use Art 44 to get the Dept of Civil Aviation to do it's job not just properly but at all.

Shouldn't it be through a hole?

Given the state of THAI aircraft ...

Did they paint over the logo?

Are you under the impression the plane was trying to mount the food truck?

I worked for an airline for 35 yrs and was a food truck driver for some of them. These incidents happen occasionaly and normaly is not a big problem and is fixed with no problem so as you say there is no need for all the bad press.

Fuselage??? more like Starboard wing...

Yes, it's almost unbelievable. If Somchai had crashed the truck this would be a 100 page thread already.

Thai bashers.

Forget the "if":

A380 damaged by push-back truck wrong manoeuvre in BKK during Airbus inaugural tour around the globe

Server didn't crash

Get off their backs. This accident had nothing to do with lack of care by Thai.

It was a disgruntled "frog food transport truck driver"

The OP is very correct, you guys would bag the hell outa Thai if they had damaged an Air France plane.

Grow up

Incidently, very good chance this plane was just commissioned in 2014, almost new.!!!!

As a matter of interest, how does a hole like that in an aircraft get repaired?

And you didn't just bag the hell out of a dig at the French using the 'frog' word?

Piss off!

Fuselage??? more like Starboard wing...

Read the first post,it clearly states the wing.

C'est bon! Injury to the insult !

As a matter of interest, how does a hole like that in an aircraft get repaired?

A flush 'patch repair' that will ensure the smooth flow of air especially as the damage is on the leading edge
