Total lunar eclipse

Featured Replies

Predicted to occur the evening of the 4th with max eclipsing @ 7pm viewed from the Andaman Sea region.

Seen it a few years ago in Phuket. It's an amazing spectacle. Moon looks suspended in the sky.

Unfortunately at the time of the total eclipse the sun will be below the horizon, but should make for some spectacular viewing before sunset, weather permitting.

Got a great view of it from the balcony here in Chalong.

OK, which idiot didn't read it properly and expected a solar eclipse?

Have been watching the moon over the Kata hills..

We just came in from watching in our front yard, here in Chiang Rai. We missed the peak time as we had to wait for it to come over a mountain. When we first saw it, there was only a sliver of moon showing.

Not a Pro Photo but you will get the feel for it taken from bedroom balcony Rawai

Couple of photos from Ao Por.

The view was not bad at all, while waiting for the moon to show up.

Unfortunately there was quite a lot of haze, so when the moon finally was visible, it was quite high up already.

The shadows, compared to normal crescent moon, are quite different during the moon eclipse.
