I have a friend about to complete her PGCE in the UK as a Spanish/Italian teacher.

Are there opportunities for teaching Spanish/Italian at international schools here in Bangkok?

Would she need UK curriculum experience to stand a chance of getting a job at an international school?

I have to say i've never met a Thai who can speak Spanish or Italian...

Thanks for any advice

I was asking quite a few guys, Googled it , but didn't even see one job offer. She might be able to make good money in Germany, just saying.

Okay, I understand that you wouldn't like to live there. Nor do I. Best of luck!! thumbsup.gif

At our government school English, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Burmese and Spanish are offered. Spanish is taught by a native speaker of Spanish and a Thai teacher of Spanish.

Never heard of a govt school teaching Spanish. That is a first for me.

I am a native speaker and certified ATA translator. Never found work here for that unless you go to Agoda or some other travel joints.
