Prachuap Khiri Khan to hold Thailand - Myanmar Songkran Festival

PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN, 6 April 2015 (NNT) – A Thai - Myanmar Songkran celebration is set to take place at Singkhon border crossing with trade fair and performances to boost the border trade, said the District Chief.


According to the Mueang Prachuap Khiri Khan District Chief, Somporn Patchimpetch, the district and commerce-related agencies in the area will be holding the Songkran celebration at Singkhon border crossing in Prachuap Khiri Khan on 11-14 April 2015, aiming to tighten the relations between Thai;and and Myanmar and stimulate border trades through a trade fair

The event will features merchandises exposition and cultural exchange activities, such as performances, while a traditional Thai New Year celebration will take place on April 13, 2015 for both Thais and Burmese to participate.

Tourists and visitors are invited to join this activity at the Singkhon border crossing, 13 kilometers from the Nong Hin intersection, in the province of Prachuap Khiri Khan.
