Govt secures return for 244 Thai fishermen from Indonesia

BANGKOK, 10 April 2015 (NNT) – The government has vowed to continue its rescue operation of Thai fishermen still trapped in Indonesia after having succeeded in bringing more than 200 Thai people back to Thailand.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security and related agencies have since October 2014 secured the release of 244 Thai crew members lured into toiling in Indonesian seas. Of the number, 156 are the Thai fishermen trapped on Ambon Island.

Government agencies also set up an ad hoc unit at Port of Ambon which operated between March 27 and April 8 to expedite the release of Thai fishermen trapped on Ambon Island and other places, with the help of Indonesian agencies. The recent batch of 68 Thai fishermen was flown back to the country yesterday, courtesy of the Royal Thai Air Force and the Thai Embassy in Jakarta.

Despite the closure of the ad hoc operation unit, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that the Thai Embassy in Jakarta will continue to make an all-out effort to facilitate the return of the rest of Thais wishing to go home. The Ministry of Social Development and Human Security is in charge of post-rescue assistance for the Thai workers.

Extremely dishonest report and typical Thainess.

As you can read in the Phnom Penh Post

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/814923-enslaved-cambodians-on-their-way-home-thailand/

the fishermen are stucked in Indonesia but the responsible persons of the scandal are the Thai owners of the boats who consider Cambodian, Burmese and poor Thais are slaves.

Indonesians just implement the law of their country but the culprits are the Thai human traffickers.

Extremely dishonest report and typical Thainess.

Look at the news source: the National News Bureau of Thailand (NNT) which is part of the Government Public Relations Department. Enough said.

And not one Thai arrested for this horror...not one.

Everyone knows why....except the PM.....
