Yes. If you are looking for someone honest to promote it is a bit like J.C. saying "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone." What these guys now know is someone will be watching them and bit by bit the system should clean itself to a degree. Where else would we look for someone to promote into a job like this? We have no options. For every man who says that the police should be disbanded & replaced by the army, there is someone alleging all army officers are corrupt. See how he does. He might have had a religious experience & decide to live a clean life now. Move on to the next news item!

General Titirat has a history of education and an affinity with Australia.

He speaks English fluently and in the 6 years I have known him he has shunned corruption and bought down a number of bad cops.

I and some of my friends are aware of instances of him shunning large amounts of money as his wife's family is old money and he doesn't need money. He says straight up give the money to someone else, as offering money I don't need or want is pointless! Give it to someone else.

Until his promotion he regularly drove around by himself and regularly donned the obligatory tailored black cloth unlabeled jacket over his stars and shirt jewelry when socializing, effectively anonymizing himself so he could lead some semblance of a normality life.

He is a very humble man and is a born detective and investigator, solving many high profile cases. He isn't politically aligned to any political faction, once complaining to me that he had been shot at by yellow, red and PDRC factions and has the scars to prove it.

He is new clean blood!

Let's hope the system and those in it back his efforts and support him.

So easy to find yourself swimming against the tide.

If memory services, those are some of the same things the media profiles and such (rightly or wrongly) used to say about his illustrious predecessor -- right up until just before he was hauled off to prison.

He says straight up give the money to someone else, as offering money I don't need or want is pointless! Give it to someone else.

Is that being opposed to/fighting corruption, or, just already excessively rich? It would seem those two things aren't exactly synonymous with each other.

I'm assuming that Thaksin no longer has any of his cronies in high ranking positions in the police or army. whistling.gif

Also I can't remember reading anywhere about Prayut taking away Thaksin's Thai passport or police rank, has it happened? coffee1.gif

And where is your evidence for it is not??

It is common knowledge that the chief of police in my town paid 40M for his position.

Money he borrowed from the local temple..............

You have a good point, but it may need 10-20 years and this government is gone in 1 max. 2 years.

Common knowledge? You mean gossip.

You know that you can't prove a negative, but since you are asserting the positive. Please feel free to provide proof that ALL promotions are paid for.
