WP On Non O

Ok, so the company I am going to start work for have applied for my WP based on a Non O, I have the receipt from labour dept, and have to collect my WP in 3 weeks. My question is this, my Non O expiry date is October ( if I do visa run b4 then I get another 3 months, so jan), so im guessing my WP will expire October aswell??, but can I apply to extend my Non O now?.

Your work permit will be valid for one year from the date it is issued. They are not tied to your permit to stay date or in your case the date your visa expires.

You can apply for an extension of stay during the last 30 days of any of the 90 day entries your visa gives you.
