I've noticed that Wiko phones are on sale in Thailand now. Has anyone bought one? They seem terrific value for the price, perhaps too good to be true even.

Look at the online reviews - they get a very good rap in Europe.I've just ordered one to replace my trashy, hopeless, almost useless very unsmart Thai smartphone. Wiko's are made in France, as against the other cheaper but very respectable Oppo brand, which is made in China..

Interesting. A common trick, made in France can mean assembled in France but originating from China.

Most Wiko phones are already available here under a different brand name.

I personally own an iMobile IQ 9.1 which is absolutely identical to a Wiko Darkside (but was only 4900 Baht).

But as always with Mediatek Socs: don't expect any updates or upgrades.
