oval
Does anybody have any suggestions for good wet weather tyres for a Yamaha Elegance or similar? I have heard good things about Dunlop TT900 and Michelin M45. Are these the best picks for the wet season? Cheers.
papa al
Mich adds very fine silica (sand) to their rubber for good wet grip. I've run them a good bit in the wet and they seem to work quite well. Pilot Street model.
English_M_in_Bkk
Not sure if Pirelli Diablo Scooter tyres come in the right size for the bike, but if they do, they are very good.

papa al
No. Nouvo, 16" rims, limited options compared to 17". The dealer should have a catalog. Maybe try a 'Michelin motorcycle Thailand' search? I think I'm running Michelin M45, 90/80 on rear. Sort of a mild knobby tread. I'll check that number next time I ride. papa prefer Nouvo for rain riding as feet don't get splashed, and no chain to worry about rusting. Tip: When traversing unfamiliar standing water, best follow mocy taxi to avoid deep holes. Scooter + holes =

Confirmed, +7000km, looking good; I think all Michelin models that are Nouvo-size use similar technology. Good & not expensive.
oval
Thanks for the replies, Does anyone know where one can buy Michelin Pilot Street / M45, or Dunlop TT900, or the Diabolo's, in Bangkok?I spent a couple of hours scouring the backstreets of Huak Hwang yesterday, and despite trying maybe 10 different shops none of them stocked the tyres above...
