On the beach in certain areas of Wongamat, North Pattaya, there are various areas where the drain from the land out into the sea has exploded and littered the beach with bricks and lumps of concrete. The "drain" has been repaired but the debris remains. Every day I see Russians swimming off the beach and regularly bringing lumps of debris back to the beach and placing it above the high water mark which are then occasionally collected by City Hall staff.
