Pol. Maj. Gen. Peerapan gears up to inspect ITV case

The Prime Mister’s Office Permanent-Secretary, Pol. Maj. Gen. Peeraphan Prempooti (พีรพันธ์ เปรมภูติ), is geared up to inspect the case on ITV, as it is waiting for the inspection result from the Attorney-General and the Office of the Council of State.

Pol. Maj. Gen. Peeraphan revealed that the progress of the case has not been reported yet, as the details on ITV concession must pass the inspection and be approved by the Attorney-General and the Office of the Council of State. He said the process is not yet finished, and therefore, the government cannot set its timeframe as this would depend on the two agencies.

The Prime Mister’s Office Permanent-Secretary has refused to indicate whether ITV will pay a reduced amount of concession price for now, but said that his unit will strictly follow the contract’s requirement. Otherwise, the unit will not be able to sue ITV if it violates the regulations.

As for the unit’s inspection on ITV’s properties, Pol. Maj. Gen. Peeraphan said that the process is under the requirement of the contract. He further informed that the non-performing properties of ITV will be seized.

In the meantime, he insisted that his return to the post of Prime Minister’s Office Permanent-Secretary is not to favour ITV as criticisms claimed earlier.
