Marraige visa extention.

Featured Replies

Hi can somebody please help.

I went to Savannakhet in Feb. and was refused a marriage non imm. o multiple entry visa as I did not have the original marriage certificate as we were in the process of moving and could not find the original.

They gave me a single entry for 3 months and this expires on the 17th. of this month.

Can I get a 2 month extention at the local imm. office or do I have to leave the country again?

We have now found the original but I would prefer if I could get an extention for another 2 months.

Thank you very much in advance.

Hi, sorry to trouble again.

I will be going to imm. at Hua Hin this week to get an extension for 60 days to visit my wife but I need to know what I have to give to imm. to be able to get the extension.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Kyri.

You will need your wife to be with you.

Marriage certificate plus a copy.

Copies of your wife's house book registry and ID card.

Copy of your passport photo page, visa, entry/permit to stay stamp. and TM6 departure card.

Proof of residence if not living where your wife's house book is for.

Hi,

Sorry but I asked this question this morning but got no response. On a different forum.

I will be getting a 60 day extension but when it expires I will need to go to Savannakhet to get a non imm. o multiple entry visa.

what I really want to know is if I fly out of Thailand with my South African passport can I enter Laos with my Cypriot passport with no questions asked in Laos as I wont have a stamp in my Cypriot passport saying that I left from Thailand? Then I want to leave Laos by land back to Thailand.

The reason for wanting to do this is I have a pension in South Africa and as long as I am a citizen of SA I can't take it out of South Africa.

If I can do it this way then I give up my SA citizenship which is worth nothing with all the problems they have at the moment.

Any response will be much appreciated.

At airports it is often no problem changing passports, but can't say for sure for Laos.

I know going to Savannakhet Laos by land you can get a visa when you enter but if i fly does the same apply or do i have to get a visa in advance? If i have to get a visa in advance it will be in my SA passport will i then still be able to enter Laos with my Cyprus passport?

Visas on arrival are available at the international airports in Laos. See: http://www.laos-guide-999.com/visa-on-arrival.html

I don't think you will have a problem doing the passport swap. Immigration at airports are accustomed to people doing it and don't look for any departure stamps from the country you are traveling from.
