Next visit July 24. Does not specify location, but last visit April 24 was at Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort and Spa.

they had to move this last time cause the Meridean conference rooms were all booked!!

Next time maybe they will plan in advance

Hate the Hilton, no where to sit, hot, no water to drink 55555

tks 4 info guess i'll sign up 4 newsletter but ud think theyd hav a flyer at gate cause guard couldnt speak english been goin same hotel 4 yrs

Sign up for their announcements and you will know if they change the venue. It's usually at one of three hotels.

the guy from the Embassy told me they changed at the last day an didn't advise anyone,

the guard at the Meridean told me they had moved to the Hilton :-)

Funny, I received this email from the local US Warden in Phuket on April 16th and I'm sure I received the same from the US Consulate a day or two before:

The Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok is pleased to inform you of the location for the scheduled consular outreach visit to Phuket on Friday, April 24, 2015.

The following consular services are available during our outreach visits:

· Passport renewal applications ($110.00 or Baht 3,630.00 for adult passports, and $105.00 or Baht 3,465.00 for a child’s passport). There are two options for obtaining your new passport; (a) The mail back option: There will be prepaid Thailand Post envelopes (costing Baht 80.00) available for purchase if you wish to have your passport mailed back to you. Please note your current passport MUSTbe submitted to the consular officer if you will be requesting this option. (cool.pngCollecting in person from the Embassy: You may collect your passport in person from the Embassy in Bangkok and be sure to bring your current passport. Or, you may give written authorization for someone to collect the passport on your behalf. Choosing this option will allow you to hold your passport until you pick up your new passport at the Embassy.

Passport applications for minors under 16 years of age require the minor and both parents/legal guardians to appear in person. Please refer to http://www.travel.state.gov/passport/get/minors/minors_834.html for more information on the requirements to apply for a passport for a minor.

· First-time adult passport applications and passport applications for a lost or stolen passport ($135.00 or Baht 4,455.00). In the case of a lost or stolen passport, be sure to bring the original and a copy of the police report, and any copies of the lost or stolen passport that were made prior to its loss. There are two options for obtaining your new passport; (a) The mail back option: There will be prepaid Thailand Post envelopes (costing Baht 80.00) available for purchase if you wish to have your passport mailed to you. Please note that your current passport MUST be submitted to the consular officer if you will be requesting this option for a first-time adult passport. There are two options for receiving your passport back. (a) The mail back option: There will be prepaid Thailand Post envelopes (costing Baht 80.00) available for purchase if you wish to have your passport mailed back to you. · Social Security, VA, or other federal benefits questions will be limited, but we will try to provide forms and answers.

Great service. Would be nice if the UK could try and replicate it.

I'd rather stay as we are and not be taxed on overseas earnings like the poor Yanks are.

Quite apart from all the paperwork they have to complete.

God forbid the UK decided to look after it's citizens without taxing them

I met Denny (the US Warden for Phuket) years ago. In my post above is his contact information and where to sign up for his notices, which are usually a repeat of the US Embassy notices. Anyway, just a good contact to have if you're a US citizen living in Phuket.
