BMA is concerned over security in Bangkok

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) is concerned over the security in the capital and has assigned municipal officials to closely look after the public and different areas. People have been urged to cooperate with the police officers.

The Deputy Governor of Bangkok, Mr. Wanlop Suwandee (วัลลภ สุวรรณดี), said the BMA is responsible for safety in Bangkok, and even though municipal officials do not have as much authority as police officials do, they can still help out by looking after their assigned areas. He said the officials have been instructed to closely watch the areas and cooperate with the police officials.

Mr. Wanlop disclosed that the BMA has constantly organized seminars and informed municipal officials over the security measures in Bangkok.
