May 8, 201511 yr Just to expand on the story. The two targeted ships in Phuket were Italian liners that the Italians scuttled in 1941. The Japanese were in the process of salvaging them.
May 12, 201511 yr All in a days work for these men submariners got more money than surface seamen and that was the reason many of them dived under the water. The term Hero is used a lot these days but you know these seamen were all Heroes.
