Visa extention/WP

Featured Replies

Hi, I have just picked up a one year WP,im on a non o visa, my visa expires in jan, how do I go about getting a 1 year extention?, and if I returned to my home country before jan and got a new 1 year non o, how would that affect my wp?

PST.

What is your non-O based on, marriage?

Do you wish to make the extension based on employment or the bases of your non-O?

Getting a new non-O does not affect your WP status.

You haven't said what type of work you are doing, but assuming you are not a teacher, then the attached file for the Phuket area should be close to what you require:

If you are married to a Thai then you can apply to extend under National Police Order 327/2557 Case 2.18 which is less exacting plus only requires 40k pcm salary.

If you go to your home country, then a variation of the MFA criteria linked to below for a one year multiple entry non immigrant category 'b' visa will apply, this will not affect your WP(other than enabling it to remain valid), but it will require extending at Labour using form TT5 before its expiry date.
