Consul request wedding cert

I had a large A4 size Coloured paper laminated which is unacceptable

Also had a paper from the book now lost

Any advice on how to get a copy, can my wife do this at the Office where we were married ?

Are the certificates for each partner identical or is there a ladies and gents version as my wife's copy may be at our old house?

Or Can I apply by post?

Any documents or fees,fotos needed

Thank you in advance for any personal experience rather than hearsay.

Finally should I sign each side before I copy?

Copies/Duplicates are not provided.

Best you seek the remaining ,hopefully unlaminated, copy of the Marriage cert.

Both copies of the certificate are identical.

Best not to deface an original document by adding signatures or indeed anything else !

You sign the copies, never the originals.

Thanks guys so I'll find the wife's one

A friend of mine had this issue in Australia. He is from UK but his wife is a kiwi. They both are now wanting to stay in Australia and couldn't produce the original marriage cert but did give a certied copy. This was not accepted by the Australian immigration of their being married (over 10 years married). He told me of his problem and I then went to my local amphur office with all his details and a copy of his passport plus a signed power of attorney and asked for the Kor Ror 2 (KR2) which is what the immigration here want each year, which needs to be updated yearly. This proves that the marriage is still registered as such in the Thai database. This form costs 20 baht and can be obtained from any amphur office in Thailand. After sending it to him, he then submitted it with the rest of his documents and is oow holding an Australian long term visa.

Hope this helps,
