May 14, 201511 yr I need to get some money transfered from USA to my Bank of Bangkok account.... But I am having difficulty in getting the bank here to tell me which Corresponding bank, they (Bank of BKK) use in the US. Even a well spoken in English, Thai in the Bangkok HQ could not give me an answer. Does anyone know?
May 14, 201511 yr Author The branch located in the city of New York. I assume you mean the Bank of Bangkok branch in NYC.... I knew that, and would seem to be obvious.... But have been told by the sender, that it's not.... I am miffed~ ! Although perhaps if you or anyone knows what the (I assume SWIFT code is) for B of BKK in NYC that might help!!! ? .... or any other suggestions??? Thanks!
May 14, 201511 yr Are we talking about the Bangkok Bank? If so the corespondent bank is New York. The SWIFT code is BKKBTHBK. It was years ago when I did one but know that code is correct and what I used then and what is on their site below. Full howto in the below links. http://www.bangkokbank.com/BangkokBank/PersonalBanking/DailyBanking/TransferingFunds/TransferringIntoThailand/Pages/TransferringintoThailand.aspx http://www.bangkokbank.com/BangkokBank/PersonalBanking/DailyBanking/TransferingFunds/TransferringIntoThailand/ReceivingFundsfromUSA/Pages/ReceivingFundsfromUSA.aspx

I am totally confused, my alternative is converting to Can$ to my account there, then transferring here... US dollar has much better exchange rate at the moment... and would save two exchange conversions! Sigh~ !

Bangkok Bank's Thailand SWIFT code is all that is required.

So I too am confused as why such a big problem .... it should be easy! Time difference delays don't help in communication! This is why I asked the question here ! Thanks for the help!
May 15, 201511 yr This sure does get confusing ! Is the OP in the US or in Canada ? He states that he does not have a US Bank account, does he have a Canadian Bank Account Who is this mysterious " the sender company " ?
May 15, 201511 yr Author All is well !! ......seems don't talk or rely on management, to know how things work!!! The girls in New York where the money was sent from, knew exactly what to do! The transfer arrived here yesterday, already ..... while going through all this fuss! Might as well close topic! !
