TV Exemption & Triple Entry TV

Featured Replies

UK passport holder with a triple entry tourist visa issued in London (very good service by post, sent Mon got back yesterday biggrin.png)

Arriving at BKK on 5th June and now travelling to Singapore (flights booked) on 13th June returning to BKK 4 days later

I'm assuming on arrival at BKK on 5th June I could get a 30 day visa exemption rather than use the 1st entry of my tourist visa. I then plan to use the 1st entry of my tourist visa on 17th June on return to BKK.

Does anyone know if this will cause me any problems?

The problem could well be that the immigration officer on entry will refuse to give you a visa exempt entry when you arrive because you will have a valid visa in your passport.

If you have to use the 1st entry of your visa you can get a single re-entry permit for fee of 1000 baht to keep the 60 day entry valid when you re-enter the country. You can get the re-entry permit at an immigration office or at either airport in Bangkok 24 hours a day on departure from the country.

You can ask !

The Immigration Officer is very likely to refuse and will use the first of your TV entries.

A re entry permit could be bought at the airport which would preserve the remainder of the initial 60 day entry.

Indeed I will ask and get a re-entry permit if needed.
