I have a double entry tourist visa of which the first 60 days is up & I have extended this for 30 days which is also coming to an end,my visa is valid until 24th may,do I have to go out of Thailand & back in to activate my 2nd entry (60 day stay) or can I go to my local immigration to activate it?

I have always crossed the border & came back into Thailand to activate it but a friend has told me I don't need to do this,I can simply go to local immigration to activate the 2nd 60 day stay.I have never heard of this before,please can someone confirm if this is ok to do,I would rather not have to make a visa run if I don't need to.

You have to leave and return.

Definitely in need of a new friend ! One that does not provide garbage information !

You will HAVE to leave Thailand before the "enter before " date on the visa and return if you wish to activate the second entry !
