Best visa

Getting married to Thai lady,I want to spend the winters in Thailand 5 months or longer, what is the best option for me to get visa..what kind of visa..thank you..Nick

Once married apply for a multiple non-O visa based on your marriage. It gives you unlimited entries during the validity of the visa, which is 1 year from date of issuance. Each entry gives you a stay of 90 days.

If you will get a multiple depends on where you apply.

You could get a multiple entry non-o visa based upon marriage that would give you unlimited 90 day entries for a year. You would have leave once to get a new entry to get total stay of 6 months.

You could also apply for a one year extension of stay based upon marriage. You would need 400k baht in a Thai bank for 2 months or proof of 40k baht income. You could stay as long as you want without leaving and then get a re-entry permit for your trip back home.
