Although Fiji is admittedly a power-house nation cheesy.gif Thailand doesn't stand a chance in hell of getting any UN membership as long as the junta is in charge.

Let's see, you have a country that is under a law more draconian than even martial law, with one man in charge who hold absolute and total power in his hands, and who isn't afraid to use it as he deems necessary, and where "freedom of speach" means you can only say good things about the junta, et.al. And they want a seat on the UN Security Council? Yeah, sounds about right.

Last time Thailand was elected to seat in the non permanent security council was in 1985 in which a coup occurred and was crushed. For a superstitious man, Prayuth better back off his intention.

Totally shameless. He wanted other countries to hand over those who were charged with LM . That is not a country you want on a security council. The delusional sense of expectation is such in bad taste. He does not know that he persona non grata in most places that embrace universal suffrage.

Nice idea on the aircraft carrier. Hope it is useful

Perfect... Now Thailand can join the rest of the civilized world in the willful & desperate extermination of its people via UN Agenda 21.. Good job psychos!

Fijian Prime Minister Bainimarama

I for one fail to see the benefit of seeking support from a girl band of the 1980's. Whose next on the list should this bid fail? The Human League? Nik Kershaw?
