PATTAYA: -- A Kuwait National was subjected to a street robbery in South Pattaya in the early hours of Wednesday which resulted in him being relieved of his IPhone 6.

Mr. Mabapak Alazmi aged 24 made his way to Pattaya Police Station to report the alleged crime and explained to Police, through a translator, that he was driving a motorbike and his brother was riding as passenger. The pair were driving around Pattaya taking in the sights when two Thai men on a further bike, pulled in front of them and ordered them to pull-over.

Mr. Alazmi complied and one of the Thai men approached him and snatched his Iphone 6 which was attached to a piece of cord around his neck.

.....rather brazen....not afraid of the law.....the punishment......if any.........

This week is not lucky for Kuwaitis in Thailand...

It gets worse and worse.

Absolutely don't wear any valuable thing visible (like this phone on a cord).

They would be jailed for 10 years back in his country , just a 500B fine here.

Why is this a "must read?" Happens daily in Pattaya . . .

gold chain or iphone around the neck ...

will they ever learn

or .... where is the police when you need them, but as people get scammed, robbed in front of police stations, no wonder they are too busy with other activities than their job

Keep valuables hidden, no gold chains etc... etc....etc....coffee1.gif

lets help the thread out by posting the "it happens all over the world" comment........yawns.....

Find the scum and cut off their right hand.... That might be the punishment in and around their country. I bet it would drop the crime rate here too if shown on TV .

I vote to give it a 6 month try starting with the two who took this guy's phone.

I like the bit ' alleged crime '. Being non Thai he could of been making it up of course. At least his bike wasn't stolen, this can happen in Pattaya.

As long as there are drugs addicts in Thailand which is rising ever year there is no solution! Cut off there supply and they go to another dealer who want more bahts so the go out and steal more! So sad.
