Went yesterday to do extension and to get a re entry permit. before they would start had to go upstairs and register address again on a form never seen before, 2x photocopies of passport needed. Back downstairs they insisted on every passport page being copied and went through everything with a fine tooth comb.

For the permit have to go into a back room and get photo taken x2 which is entered on computer along with all the usual details. One thing not needed were the two extra forms they have produced for the extension the last few years about not overstaying. Took far longer than usual and I was wondering if these changes have taken place in other offices and if it's the result of the junta taking over? Certainly less user friendly and more hoops for everything this year. No fingerprints yet!

Not tm30 had no number and looked like something they had done themselves. Next time I will have all the pages copied before, what a co incidence they have a service at 3 baht a page outside the door! The data base for re entry looked like it was not local. I did notice after all the data was input that they printed it out! Stacks and stacks of paper files all over the place.
