Which visa and permit help please. (British nationals)

Hi,

I've hovered for awhile with searches but not quite found our situation.

Any advice and help appreciated.

We are a married couple with a baby looking to relocate to Thailand next year. Maybe for 6m maybe forever that will depend on a few factors for including legalities.

My husband has his own business with no employees and he is based online.

We also have a retail shop each here in the UK (both run as sole traders)

In the past we've been to Thailand on buying trips and exported the goods for our shops. We only came for a week or two though.

We would of course all wish to be legal in Thailand but not sure which route to take.

He will of course need to register his business and pay relevant taxes, by doing this what would he need to do to obtain a work permet in terms of the business.

We would continue to export to the UK Thai goods but I'm not sure if this is grounds for a work permit.

We have obtained non im b visas for this year's ago when I did this with a friend.

Any help really appreciated.

We don't intend to buy property just rent.

We don't have a problem employing Thais as we would have a need for part time translaters / drivers etc.

Thank you, I'd love to hear of any similar situations or experiences.

On a side note I've spent a total of around 5years in Thailand so do understand some parts of Thai life and language and very much looking forward to going back.

Xxxxx

To be working in Thailand you would need to establish a Thai company, in which a foreigner can only hold a minority share. So a Thai partner would be required.

Thanx Mario.

As we have a UK company and want to export from Thailand we thought it may be possible to obtain a visa that way.

We will look into the company option.
