City workers repair bumpy Second Road

PATTAYA:--After a string of complaints and accidents, Pattaya workers replaced drain covers and leveled the surface of Second Road.

Suntorn Sompramai, director of the Engineering Department, said the city has not ignored the problems that began after the entire Second Road was resurfaced at the start of the year, but was unable to close the busy thoroughfare during high season.

Repairs were expected to take about a week.

Work began June 2 near Mike Shopping Mall and will work northward.

Again another 1/2 job done.

Why wasn't 2nd Road done properly the 1st time ? More money wasted doing the job twice.

Jobs for the boys

they are using the same work practice in as the painting crew on Sydney Harbour Bridge. When they eventually finish and get to the end of second road it will be time to go back to the beginning and do it all over again

Drove over that spot yesterday after the latest "repair" still bumpy but at least no holes.

There is also a very dangerous ( especially for motorbikes ) sunken manhole cover on South Pattaya rd

just before the juntion with 2nd rd its been like that for years and years in fact the whole length of South Pattaya road needs to be resurfaced they left it in a terrible state after putting the water main in 2006.
