Random price inspection conducted in Yannawa market, Bangkok

GLO: 48 more vendors found selling tickets higher than 80 baht apiece

Two women arrested for smuggling 94,000 methamphetamine pills to Uttaradit

BANGKOK: -- Two women have been arrested for having allegedly driven two cars to smuggle 94,000 methamphetamine pills from Bangkok to Uttaradit's Pichai district.

The arrest of Nanthida Juangkham and an 18-year-old suspect was announced at a press conference at the Mueang Phitsanulok police station Sunday. Acting on tip-off, police arrested the two after the two left the drug on a roadside Saturday.

NHSO allows universal healthcare to cover non-critical but emergency treatments

BANGKOK: -- The National Health Security Office's board of directors has agreed to extend the free universal healthcare to cover non-critical but emergency medical treatments in all hospitals, Public Health Minister Doctor Ratchata Ratchatanawin said.

Those eligible for the free universal healthcare are normally required to receive treatments in the hospitals they have been registered to but if they encounter life-threatening emergency, they can seek treatment from any hospital. Now, the emergency cases do not have to be life-threatening ones, the minister said.
