90 day report: how many days in advance can you go?

Featured Replies

I just got a new passport and have to go to Immigration to transfer my visa from the old passport to the new passport. How many days in advance of the deadline for reporting can I go to the office? In my case, the deadline is July 7. (Online reporting is not an option since my passport is new. Once it's registered with immigration, then I can do the online reporting)

You can do the report up to 15 days before your report date or 7 days after including the report date in the count.

Thank you.

good advice UbonJoe...I had oftened wondered about the "after" time span myself.

I told friends to not test the resolve of the soi 5 Immigration staff, to do everything on the button.

working days or calender days?

Calendar days.

Can i apply for a new retirement extension in the 7 day period after the 90 day report date? or do i have to do the 90 day report first?

My retirement extension date - 30 days is in that 7 day period.

90 day reports are nothing to do with extensions.

You apply for a new extension before your current one expires.

Make sure you get the date right.

My 90 day report was due on 14th June .

For some reason (and I don't know why I didn't check the date in the passport) I had it fixed in my mind it was the 24th June.

I copped a 2000 baht fine for that.

All very civilised though in CM Immigration office and smiles all round as I parted with my cash.

Now I've got reminders everywhere for next time.

This will be first and the last time it happens to me.

"I just got a new passport and have to go to Immigration to transfer my visa from the old passport to the new passport."

If it is, indeed, a live "O", "OA", "ED", etc visa which has been issued by a Royal Thai embassy or consulate abroad, your local immigration office won't transfer it to your new passport. Instead you will need to carry both old and new passports around with you until the visa has expired.

Only extension of stay stamps can be transferred from an old to a new passport by your local immigration office.

Quick question

I'm doing the 1 month under consideration for the marriage permission to stay, my 90 day report is due today.

Do I still have to do the report ?

gdaya folks

just a question :

being on retirement extension of stay, then shifting rental residence within pattaya from district moo9 to moo5, is it mandatory as well as early enough to advvise the immi upon the 90 day report, which would be in 2 weeks. then show them the new rental agreement ??

cheers

Does the 90 day reset when you extend an extension of stay based on retirement - My official next report day is 15/7 but when I did my extension I am sure I filled in the 90 day report form. In other words which + 90 day is it now?

I think what I will do is try and report via internet for 15th June as this is my official date and comes before what would be new data if accepted.

Extension of stay and 90 day report are independent of each other. You still need to file 90 day report regardless of when your extension is done/due. If your 90 day was due within the +15 day window and coincided with your extension that will explain doing 90 day and extension at the same time.
