It takes 2 days. You apply the morning of one day and pick it up the next afternoon

I don't mean to be argumentative, but are you 100%? I have seen a few posts round the net that suggest it CAN be done in 1 day. Just wanting to be absolutely certain before I spend the money to change my return flight.

In the past they did do it the same day and that was normally only for tourist visas.. But that ended almost a year ago.

I will be getting a tourist visa, my boss is apparantly clueless about getting a Non B out of the country and insist on changing my visa here when I return..

I have Jim the visa guy on the phone now.. he said he think it's doable if I pay extra. But I guess we'll see.

Okay an FYI to anyone who reads this in the future -

You CAN get a tourist visa in one day at Penang. It cost an extra 2k baht and Jim's Guesthouse was the only place of the three places I visited that would do it. Banana Guesthouse was most recommended, but they insisted that one day was impossible.

Also be prepared to be scrutinized. I had to prove proof of onward travel, something I didn't have to do the first (and only other) time I got a tourist visa a few years back (Jim can also help arrange this).

So. I got through immigration without having to pay any type of overstay in relation to the cancellation of my WP. I was able to get my 60 day tourist visa in one day for a total of 5500 baht. Now on to getting it changed to a Non B.
