easy business visa

Featured Replies

Hello,

following circumstances:

A german friend of mine stayed in thailand since last year with a triple tourist visa from a consulat in germany. This month he went back to germany coz he had to manage some

private things at home. So he went to the same consulat in germany to apply for a triple tourist visa again. The staff at the consulat told him he can also apply for a one year

multiple entry business visa as he visit thailand many times. All what they need is a copy of his business registration in germany. He registered a company in germany a

few years ago, but this company not really activ anymore.

The consulat not ask for some other documents, letters, invititation, or what ever. After providing the copy, he get his one year business visa and is now in thailand again.

Anyway he has no plan to open a business or work here in thailand.

I apply many times for a tourist visa at my consulat in austria, but i never hear that before.

So i am a little bit curious. Is this a common procedure? Can there be any negativ consequences for him, as his purpose is not to open a business or work in thailand, he is just a genuine tourist and will stay long time here?

Thank you....

It is known that the some consulates in Germany issues visa much more easily than in other countries. With his visa your friend needs to leave country each 90 days anyway.

That is perfectly legal and has no consequences.

Can i please know wich consulate that was? You can send me in PM too, would be very nice to know.
