The most important thing to know is that it can only be done at Bangkok immigration and it takes 2 trips 15 days apart to get the visa/entry stamps. If you do not live in or near Bangkok it might be best to go out for a single entry non-o. Vientiane or Savannakhet Laos and Penang Malaysia are good locations to get one. Beachman Posted June 30, 2015 Share Posted June 30, 2015 (edited) With appropriate paperwork and finances a conversion to an O visa entry is possible but only in Bangkok. The visa will provide for a stay of 90 days toward the end of which an application for an "extension of stay" based on marriage should be made.
