I think you have to buy your own [used] motorbike and then take it to a welding shop and they can do a custom job. I've just seen some welding shops do it....not sure about the cost.

In Phuket Town or other busy areas, you might see one or two shops with a couple of the 'side cart' scooters already made....but especially the food cart. It is a custom job. Might be good to take a photo of someone who has something close to what you want.

I talked to the embassy already and they told me I can work inside of the truck and also the owners of all the food trucks told me they work inside of it with thai employees. But I will no more with my lawyer.

You can't work inside the truck if you are not Thai.

That is my understanding too....however, she may sit inside the truck looking bored,( but in reality overseeing things). As long as she doesn't pick up a jar of mustard or spread some butter.

With all due respect don't be naive. There is a list of what foreigners can work at & the necessity of work permits etc............................. If it's so easy, every Tom, Dick & Harry would have started working on a food cart .
