I'm looking to buy an iPad to use with Garageband so that I can record song sketches on the move for later use in the studio with Logic Pro.

I've never owned an iPad nor used Garageband. In Bangkok the range of iPad models and prices is pretty broad.

Can any iPad/Garageband experts out there recommend a model that will run GB at the best price point?

Garageband is a fantastic program. Buying an ipad is worth the price of admission.

Every iPad will run it well. I would go with the 64 GB or above version of whatever you decide.

Just went to the iPad online store to take a look. iPad Air 2 64 GB 20400 baht would be perfect.

I have the mini 2. No reason to upgrade.

Would agree with the poster. I use my ipad three and have never had a skip. For sketching out songs it is fantastic.
