September 18, 200619 yr http://www.thaivisa.com/422.0.html Thai consulates in US, Europe and Australia seem to be the most generous. The smaller consulates in Australia are the nearest and the easiest, and air tickets to there are cheaper than to Europe or US. A return ticket from Bangkok to Australia can be bought for less than 15,000 Baht with Air Asia (September 2006). Is "Air Asia" a typo, as Aus is not on their destination list?

He probably meant JetStar Asia.
September 18, 200619 yr Author Thanks, Jetstar have zero under A$950 +++. Rtn. Cheapest would be to hitch to Darwin with 22kg of baggage and Fly Tiger from Darwin.
