July 11, 201511 yr Phone: Lenovo A936, Android 4.4.4 Recently, when my phone is on, but not active (display off), my WiFi has been disconnecting. As soon as I open the display, it re-connects. It's annoying because text messages sent by LINE or FB don't register until I open it. I'm sure some setting was inadvertently changed but I've searched and can't find anything that addresses this. Any suggestions? BTW, I have another Android phone on the same network that does not shut down so not the router. Edited July 11, 201511 yr by dddave
July 11, 201511 yr Maybe some power saving app you have on your phone, they tend to turn off things when not being used.
July 11, 201511 yr Does your version of android allow you to do this: (Menu Button) | System Settings WiFi (Menu Button) | Advanced Keep WiFi on during sleep Always Avoid poor connections unchecked
