Cardiologist in Bangkok

Any hospital will have cardiologists on staff and most of us have the same heart system as Thai (if just English you are asking about all doctors will speak from fair to good). As for price it will vary by hospital in line with there general changes - but he/she will likely not be any different in price than other doctors at the same facility.

A reasonable cost hospital in your area would be Saint Louis Hospital. If you provide more details am sure more specialist suggestions can be made.

An office visit would likely be in the 1k area for low.moderate cost facility to 2k for higher priced just for consultation. Test would be additional from inexpensive blood tests to others that can become quite expensive - so really no way to answer your general question. If you want to change or need new medications you will likely want to buy them outside hospital for lower price.

An annual consultation with a complete blood test and stress-ultrasound at Bumrungrad costs me over 12,000. I like my cardiologist, Dr. Sukitti, very much so I'm willing to pay. I have been a patient at Bumrungrad for twenty years and have had two angioplasties with a total of six stents inserted. My heart has been in good shape for the past 5-6 years.

Dr. Taworn at Bangkok Chrisitian Hospital on Silom (near Saladaeng). One of the least expensive private hospitals in Bangkok as it is non-profit.

US Trained (UCLA) and extremely good

Consultation will cost maybe 1,000 baht. Stress test if needed maybe 2,000. Don't buy meds at the hospital, get at an outside pharmacy.

No appointment needed but it is first come first serve so arrive early - you'll need to register for a hospital number first.

I actually saw Dr Taworn at the BCH last Thursday. He takes time to explain in good English. Total cost was 620 baht (no medication or tests).

Go to the second floor of the old building. He is 'in' mon to sat, but not every morning, afternoon and only one evening. Best make an appointment to catch him.
